Here are some pics from Rocky National Park, Pikes Peak and where I went today, Great Sand Dune National Park.
Nestled against the Rocky Mountains in southern Colorado, is Great Sand Dunes National Park. And great sand dunes they are. They are among the highest sand dunes in the world. The park said that they were formed by winds whipping the sand from a nearby river into dunes. The sand is very hot, and will burn your feet if you are foolish enough to stay in one place for a while (coming from personal experience, I might add). But enough text. You probably came for the pictures (and you must be here if you are reading this, and I know you didn't come for my lame commentary), and they are here, and in an abundance, below.
